Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 16, 2026 · Operated by VizzEx LLC
1. Who We Are
Symmetry Gate™ (symmetrygate.ai) is a free AI crawler fidelity audit tool operated by VizzEx LLC, a software and research company focused on AI visibility and Signal Clarity for content-driven websites. VizzEx also operates vizzex.ai. Questions about this policy may be directed to hi@vizzex.ai.
2. What We Collect
When you use Symmetry Gate™, we collect the following information:
- URLs you submit for analysis. We store the URL you enter along with the full audit result generated for that URL.
- IP address. We record your IP address at the time of each audit request for fraud prevention, rate limiting, and aggregate usage analysis.
- Date and time of each audit.
- A session identifier (cookie). We assign a unique anonymous ID to your browser via an
httpOnlycookie (vx_uid) that persists for one year. This allows us to recognize returning visitors and associate your audits across sessions without requiring you to log in. - Registration information (after 3 audits). After you have submitted three URLs, we ask you to register with your email address, first name, last name, and optional organization name. This information is stored securely and linked to your session.
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized information about how visitors use this site, including pages visited, session duration, referral sources, device type, and general geographic region. This is collected only after you provide cookie consent. See Section 5 for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service. URLs and audit results are processed in real time to generate the Symmetry Gate™ report you see.
- To enable continued access. After registration, your verified email allows unlimited use of the tool.
- For aggregate research. We use anonymized and aggregatedaudit results — stripped of any identifying information — to study the state of AI induction readiness across the web. This research informs VizzEx's published findings on Signal Clarity and AI indexation trends. No individual URL is attributed to any individual user in any published research.
- For marketing and product communications. By registering, you agree to receive email from VizzEx, including your one-time verification code, product updates, research findings, and information about VizzEx services. Your registration information is also transferred to our marketing automation platform (Genoo) to manage these communications. See Section 6 for details. You may unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- To improve the tool. Usage patterns and analytics help us understand how Symmetry Gate™ is used and where to invest in improving the analysis.
4. Cookies and Session Tracking
We use two types of cookies:
- Functional cookie (
vx_uid). A first-party, randomly generated session identifier. Contains no personal information. Set automatically on your first audit. Required for the service to function (rate limiting and gate enforcement). Expires after one year. - Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). Set only after you explicitly accept cookies via our consent banner. These cookies allow Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage patterns. You may decline analytics cookies and continue using the service without restriction.
You can withdraw your analytics cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using your browser's privacy settings.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"), a service provided by Google LLC. GA4 collects anonymized data about how visitors interact with our site. This data is processed by Google and may be transferred to and stored on servers in the United States.
GA4 is only loaded after you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner. If you decline, no GA4 data is collected from your session. For more information on how Google processes data, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Analytics opt-out tool.
6. Third-Party Data Processors
We share your personal information only with the following service providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Infrastructure, database hosting, and email delivery. All data is stored in the United States (us-east-1).
AWS Privacy PolicyGenoo
Marketing automation and CRM platform. Upon registration, your first name, last name, email address, and organization name (if provided) are transferred to Genoo to manage email communications from VizzEx. Genoo processes this data solely as a service provider for VizzEx and does not use it for independent marketing purposes.
Genoo Privacy PolicyGoogle LLC (Google Analytics 4)
Web analytics. Only activated after cookie consent. Collects anonymized usage data.
Google Privacy Policy7. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Union and European Economic Area, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Legitimate interest — Processing of URL submissions, IP addresses, and audit timestamps for the purpose of providing the service, preventing abuse, and conducting anonymized research.
- Contract performance — Processing of your registration information to provide continued access to the Service following registration.
- Consent — Sending marketing emails and transferring your registration data to Genoo for marketing communications. You provide this consent at registration and may withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. Analytics cookie processing is also based on consent provided via the cookie banner.
8. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States (us-east-1 region). We use Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorized VizzEx personnel only. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
9. Data Retention
Audit records are retained for a minimum of 24 months to support longitudinal research. Personal registration information (name, email, organization) is retained for as long as your account is active or as required to fulfill the purposes described in this policy.
By using this Service, you consent to the collection and storage of the data described in this policy as a condition of access. The functional data we collect — including URL submissions, audit results, IP address, session identifier, and registration information — is necessary to provide the Service. This data is processed under contract performance and legitimate interest, not solely on consent, meaning it cannot be selectively withdrawn while continuing to use the Service.
10. Your Rights (GDPR & General)
Your rights vary depending on the type of data and how it is processed. We make the following distinctions:
Functional data (required for the Service)
URL submissions, audit results, IP address, session cookie, and registration information are necessary to provide and secure the Service. You may request deletion of this data at any time; however, deletion of functional data will permanently terminate your access to the Service. We cannot provide the Service without this data.
Marketing communications (consent-based — optional)
You may unsubscribe from VizzEx marketing emails at any time without affecting your access to the Service. Use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us at hi@vizzex.ai.
Analytics cookies (consent-based — optional)
You may decline or withdraw consent for Google Analytics cookies at any time without affecting your access to the Service.
Additional rights you hold:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@vizzex.ai.
11. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know. You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, and the purposes for which we use it.
- Right to Delete. You may request deletion of the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (listed in Section 6) under data processing agreements that prohibit independent use of your data.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
To submit a California privacy request, contact us at hi@vizzex.ai with the subject line "California Privacy Request."
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above. Continued use of Symmetry Gate™ after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
